Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known character was that of Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Her other roles are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her interest in performing on stage. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to TV and film. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler appeared in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was one of her characters. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was launched in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes final years in Walter White's personal life.
