Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on research and policies relating to children who are people who are victims of the law. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
